Journalist James Pearce was impressed with Fabio Carvalho's performance against Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium last night.

The attacking midfielder started for Liverpool against the Glasgow-based team and he did not disappoint.

Carvalho was composed on the ball and he looked to make things happen. With that being the case, Pearce praised the 20-year-old post-game.

As quoted by Anfield Watch on Twitter, he told The Athletic the following: "Thought Carvalho was brilliant, really composed under pressure, looked after the ball well. He’s got a big future."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool signed Carvalho from Fulham for a transfer fee of €5.90 million back in the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder has had a bright start to his Anfield career. Carvalho has scored two goals in nine appearances for the club's first-team.

One of the youngster's goals came in the dying moments against Newcastle United at Anfield earlier this season to hand Liverpool the three Premier League points.

From what we have seen so far, Carvalho has a bright future in the game. The exciting thing about the attacker is that he is only 20 years of age.

Who knows how good Carvalho could be. I guess only time will tell. Hopefully the youngster can stay fit and keep on performing for Liverpool.
