Jurgen Klopp has recently praised Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

Speaking on the Englishman's new documentary, 'Jordan Henderson Is Never Done',  the Liverpool boss said that nothing the club has achieved since he took over back in 2015 would have been possible without his captain.

“Nothing we achieved in the last few years would have happened without him," Klopp said, as quoted by Liverpoolfc.com.

"There are so many important things you do over a season to keep a group together, to keep a group going in difficult moments, and he is great in that.

“He has speed, he has endurance, so he can run for ages. Defensive skills are great, offensive skills are really great: awareness, vision, passing.

“I expect from him nothing else than I expect from all the others: be the best version of yourself as often as somehow possible. That gives us a good chance to win football games.

“He’s captain of my side because he was captain when I arrived here and I saw no need to change it – that’s maybe the biggest compliment. He brings everything you need to lead a football team.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Henderson will go down as one of Liverpool's best-ever captains. He will be in the conversation with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Ron Yeats, Alan Hansen and others when it comes to discussing who the best Reds captain was.

He might not have the quality of the previously mentioned players, but his leadership skills and dedication to the club are unrivalled.

Henderson has won every major trophy with Liverpool. The Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Everyone who has ever spoken about the 32-year-old has lauded his influence on and off the pitch.

It will probably be a while before we see another Liverpool captain as good as Henderson.
