"He never stops" - Adrian praises teammate Luis Diaz

Liverpool reserve goalkeeper Adrian has praised teammate Luis Diaz.

The winger has had a superb start to his Anfield career. Since signing for the club from Porto for a transfer fee of £42.30 million back in January, Diaz has scored six goals and registered five assists in 26 appearances.

The 25-year-old also averaged a WhoScored player rating of 7.44 across the 2021-22 Premier League campaign (14 appearances).

With that being the case, we weren't surprised to hear Adrian praise Diaz in a recent interview.

"He never stops, he's very lively, he's very creative – dribbling, shooting. It's a top player and he showed it already in the first season with us," he told the club's official website, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

"Luis in his first season with us was incredible, and we hope he keeps going at that and Darwin (Nunez) adapts so quick as well.

"This season it's going to be important because he put the level quite high, I told him before. Now he has to keep that level or even improve it."

Anfield Watch Verdict

We strongly believe that Diaz can go to another level next season. The winger is completing a full pre-season under Jurgen Klopp and he is only 25 years of age.

Therefore, Diaz certainly has room for improvement. The Colombia international is also surrounded by some top players (Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota).

It is common knowledge that players lift their game when surrounded by top footballers.

But, only time will tell if the Colombia international is to take his game to another level.
