"He always wants to create" - Jurgen Klopp on Harvey Elliott
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has recently praised Reds midfielder Harvey Elliott.
The 19-year-old is someone to keep an eye on. Elliott can score, create and he is constantly looking to win the ball back.
With that being the case, Klopp is a big fan of the Englishman.
"(He gives us) creativity, he's cheeky. He's always offensive orientated with his body positions. He always wants to create and it was exactly like that from the start," he told Sky Sports, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.
"We have to be flexible on the right wing as well, it's not always Mo (Salah) wide or Trent (Alexander-Arnold) wide, we need them all in the half spaces as well and Harvey deals with that really good and that's why he played the last game.
"He just deserves it and he's the right player for that position. He can play different positions but this is where he's probably played his best games for us."
Anfield Watch Verdict
It is brilliant to see Elliott back in action. The midfielder suffered a serious ankle injury against Leeds United at Elland Road in the early stages of the 2021-22 campaign.
As a result, Elliott missed a total games of 30 games for Liverpool. So, we are glad that he is fit and firing again.
With Thiago Alcantara still out of action due to a hamstring injury, we fully expect Elliott to start against Manchester United at Old Trafford tonight.
Hopefully the youngster can have an impact on the game and help Liverpool secure the three points.
The clash kicks off at 8:00pm BST. Liverpool versus Manchester United is the biggest fixture in English football.
We can't wait for the match to begin.
