Harry Redknapp says Liverpool have one player who walks into any team in the Premier League

Harry Redknapp believes Curtis Jones could walk into any team in the Premier League after his brace in Liverpool's 5-1 Carabao Cup thrashing of West Ham United.

Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah completed the rout for Liverpool, while Jarrod Bowen scored a consolation goal for the Hammers in the second half.

Jones started alongside Wataru Endo and Szoboszlai in a midfield three and enhanced his reputation with a fantastic display, staking his claim for a starting spot against Arsenal on Saturday. Redknapp heaped praise on the Englishaman's commanding display, adding that he's too good to be playing a bit-part role for Liverpool.

He said (quotes via Sky Sports Football): “It’s going to be hard to shift him out of the team for the weekend, on that performance. That’s what you want from your team. You make changes and you hope the lads come in. David (Moyes) hasn’t had that with West Ham. He has made some changes and there were really few performances.

“Whereas (Klopp) will go home tonight. Arsenal Saturday, two or three of them who got a place tonight might just keep their place. Interesting now for the weekend. Great options. He could go and walk into any team in the Premier League, couldn’t he?! Go and play regularly. But he obviously wants to play there and win his place at Liverpool. It looks to me that it’s only a matter of time before he gets a regular birth at Liverpool. Looks too good not to play.”

With Alexis Mac Allister out injured and Ryan Gravenberch facing a race against time to prove his fitness, Jones could retain his place in the starting XI for the top-of-the-table clash on Saturday. The 22-year-old's ability to retain and recycle possession could be key against Arsenal, who will look to record their first win at Anfield since September 2012.
