FSG set to sign Spain’s BIGGEST talent after mega Malaga CF purchase
FSG are looking to buy Malaga CF in Spain and this could land them one of the country's biggest talents.
David Ornstein broke the news writing in The Athletic that Liverpool's owners are looking to buy the Spanish second division club.
Liverpool transfer news today: Richard Hughes gets 'go ahead' to pull off 'well advanced' €60m deal
This feels like a breakthrough in FSG's attempt to begin a multi-club model, one of the key reasons why they brought back Michael Edwards, who would oversee the new project.
Malaga are an attractive club as well. While they are currently in administration, they are a historic side with plenty of good foundations.
The club made the Champions League quarter-finals back in 2013, where they were knocked out by Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp.
Meanwhile, they also have very strong academy foundations. Among the club's recent graduates from the academy have been the likes of Dean Huijsen, Brahim Diaz and Rodrigo Zalazar.

Why Liverpool could land Spain's biggest talent in Antonito Cordero
Right now, Malaga also has one of the biggest young talents playing for them at club level behind Lamine Yamal in Antonito Cordero.
The 18-year-old has made 11 goal contributions for Malaga in the second division so far this season - only Yamal has made more (30) among Spanish U19 players playing in senior competitions across Europe this season.
That would already make Cordero an attractive prospect. As a teenager he's already showing a lot of exciting potential. He thrives in arriving at the box and is an excellent presser as well.
Most recently, he played a key role in helping Spain's U19 national team qualify for the European Championships in Romania making four goal contributions in 6 matches for his country.
Cordero is out of contract, in the summer and Malaga have been unable to tie him down to a new deal due to the club's financial struggles.
But if FSG swoops in now and gives Malaga a fresh cash injection that could alter the fate of Corder who is being eyed by a host of clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Newcastle United.
With new funds, Malaga could convince Cordero to stay at his boyhood club, especially with the promise of moving up to Liverpool if he continues to catch the eye.
It would be a massive coup to begin this new Malaga project for FSG to keep Cordero at the club and to secure his future for the Reds.

He's got all the tools to be a quintessential Slot attacker and it would make perfect sense for him to remain under the FSG multi-club system rather than move elsewhere for pastures new.
