Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton won the game for England U21s this week as they beat Northern Ireland 3-0. The Reds pair made things happen.

Harvey Elliott once again showed his ability for England Under 21s this week. He was the star of the show as they beat Northern Ireland 3-0.

The youngster scored twice - first from a brilliant free-kick and then a wonderful chip over the goalkeeper to wrap things up. he was the best player on the pitch and it's starting to feel like his breakout season.

But he wasn't the only Red to catch the eye here. Tyler Morton, currently on loan at Hull City, got his first start for the U21s and certainly earned himself many more.

Morton scored the opener from outside the box - his first competitive goal. It was a great strike, first controlled on his chest and then arrowed into the far corner, leaving the goalkeeper without a hope.

That wasn't enough for Morton, though. He also provided the assist for Elliott's second and the game's third. Picking the ball up in midfield, he played a perfect pass for his teammate to run onto. All Elliott had to do was lift it over the goalkeeper and the match was settled.

It's a goal that will raise eyebrows as Liverpool. Morton will return to the Reds this summer and if he continues his form, Jurgen Klopp will almost certainly want a good look at him over pre-season.

This isn't just great form, though. Morton helped win this game with his ability on the ball and showed an ability to link-up with Elliott to do so.

It's exactly what you want to see from your young players. Even outside of the Liverpool setup - and with one not even playing for the Reds this season - there's still a connection there and it's one that can prove devastating.

This might just have been a glimpse into the future for Liverpool and their two young talents.
