EXPECTED PSV vs Liverpool line-up as Slot makes SHOCK Andy Robertson call
Arne Slot is set to make a host of changes for Liverpool's final game in the Champions League.
Liverpool FC News Today: Barcelona hero set to leave as Trent Alexander-Arnold nears agreement
The Reds have travelled without a lot of key stars to face PSV Eindhoven in a match that will decide whether they will win the league phase or not.
There will no Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Slot's disposal.
Instead, it's a young team that has travelled to the Netherlands and here is how the Reds are expected to line-up.
Goalkeeper
Arne Slot will give Caoimhin Kelleher a shot in goal giving Alisson a much needed rest.
Kelleher has been in great form and has particularly done well in the Champions League. His penalty save from Kylian Mbappe is probably the highlight so far.
And he will be hoping for more of those moments against PSV, which could well be the case given Liverpool's backline.
Defence
Slot is expected to make a few interesting selections for this one given Joe Gomez is not quite fit enough to feature and a lot of defenders who would normally start have been left behind.
We expect Jarell Quansah to come into the side and he will be partnered by an interesting choice in Andy Robertson who will be given a shock role at centre-back.
At right-back Conor Bradley will replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas will be starting at left-back.
Midfield
Slot has some big calls again. He is without a lot of his key stars with his normal trio all getting a much needed rest ahead of a busy period.
This will see Wataru Endo come into the side, playing as a midfielder this time around. Many might have seen this game as an opportunity for Tyler Morton but it is expected that James McConnell will get the nod instead.
Meanwhile, Federico Chiesa could be set for an interesting role playing in Dominik Szoboszlai's position as the no.10 - and finally being given an opportunity to start a game for the Reds.
Attack
One man is guaranteed to start given he is making a visit to his old club. Cody Gakpo will be given his chance to shine against PSV and continue his good form.
On the right he will be joined alongside Harvey Elliott, who has been making an impact off the bench. This time his role will be to make an impact in the Mo Salah role.
Up top, it will be Darwin Nunez's time to shine again. The Uruguayan will get the nod and he will be looking to get himself on the scoresheet again.
Later, we will be hoping to see some youngsters make their mark too, like Jayden Danns, Trey Nyoni but potentially Amara Nallo as well who could be in line to make his debut.
Liverpool (4-2-1-3): Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Robertson, Tsimikas, McConnell, Endo, Chiesa, Elliot, Gakpo, Nunez.
