EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool vs Man United postponement THREAT increased
Liverpool vs Manchester United today may be called off after heavy snow in the area. A decision is set to be made.
Liverpool have battled the weather a lot this season. The Merseyside derby was postponed, of course, after high winds created hazards for fans.

That followed Liverpool’s trip to Southampton nearly being called off because of a storm. And now we’re here again, with Manchester United at Anfield under threat.
Anyone in Liverpool can see that threat very clearly. Temperatures dropped below 0c overnight and a sheet of snow now covers Merseyside.
The threat has been clear since early on Saturday, and action is underway on Saturday morning to test whether this one can go ahead. Trains are being tested, and it's already been made clear that Anfield stadium itself is fine and that the pitch is playable.
The big question is whether fans are safe to travel to this one. A Safety Advisory Group meeting was set for early on Sunday where that will be decided.
That has now finished, with the meeting deciding to reconvene before noon as conditions could change quickly. No answer yet, then.
But a lack of preparation has this all at risk.
Liverpool vs Man United under threat
Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool council did not see the weather turning like this and failed to pre-order grit. It means there's been a rush to get a hold of it for this one.
Whether they can secure it all - and disperse it adequately - is now the big question. In fact, it could be the deciding factor as to whether Liverpool vs Man United goes ahead.
Fan safety, both on the roads and around the ground, is the major concern here, after all.
Liverpool will want to play, certainly. They have a chance of going eight points clear of Arsenal with a game in hand, leaving them overwhelming title favourites.
But right now, they may need to settle for a second game in hand.
