Liverpool have approached Fluminense regarding a potential move for Andre, but the Reds will consider Thiago Alcantara's situation before making a decision.

Last month, Football Transfers revealed that the Reds made an attempt to sign the midfielder, along with Fulham, but his current club were not willing to let him go this summer – instead preferring to wait until December.

It is also believed that Fluminense will only make a decision about Andre's potential transfer after their Copa Libertadores round of 16 return leg against Argentinos Juniors on 8 August. If Fluminense get knocked out, they might be open to transferring Andre to the Premier League.

Anfield Watch has learned that Liverpool are open to offers for Thiago, who has just one year left on his contract at Anfield. They won't consider offering the Spaniard a new contract due to his concerning injury record.

Those close to Andre suggest that a deal is feasible, while sources in Brazil claim that a move for the 22-year-old could be finalised for €30m (£26m) if the full amount is paid.

For €25m (£21.5m), Fluminense would allow Andre to leave with 80% of his economic rights, as well as future add-ons, but he wouldn't be permitted to leave until the winter period.

This development follows Anfield Watch's exclusive story that Liverpool are also interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City and are considering a move for the midfielder, leveraging their strong relationship with agency Wasserman.

The Reds are seeking to reinforce the centre of the park after selling Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ittihad, respectively. Jurgen Klopp's side were already in search of additional midfielders before those players departed for the Middle East – having also said goodbye to James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Arthur Melo this summer – so now they'll be on the lookout for at least two more players to fill the positions.
