Fabrizio Romano has ruled out the possibility of any of Liverpool's front three signing for Real Madrid or Barcelona at the end of the season.

Romano claims that it is impossible for Barcelona to make a move for Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane due to their financial situation. He also outlines Real Madrid's plans to avoid big-money deals, at the moment, as they pursue Bayern Munich defender David Alaba on a free transfer.

Speaking exclusively to Anfield Watch, Romano responded to suggestions of Real Madrid and Barcelona making moves for Liverpool's attackers. "Now, at the moment? No. For Barcelona, it would be impossible. Barcelona are in a difficult situation on the economical side so if they sell players, if they lose Messi, if, if, if, okay, but at the moment there is nothing for Barcelona.

"Real Madrid are planning for something different. I don't think they will spend €150m or something like this for players in the next summer so they are planning for different kind of deals like the Alaba one and more. Let's see next summer but, at the moment, no."

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

As long as the club, and Jurgen Klopp, want to keep all three of them this is excellent news for Liverpool. This update from Romano means that there may not be any danger of Liverpool receiving interest for the trio in the summer. Therefore, none of them would face any distractions ahead of the 2021/22 campaign and they can focus solely on performing for Liverpool in the Premier League.

The trio have produced 26 goals between them in the Premier League this season, after managing 46 last term as Liverpool won the title. This highlights just how important they are to Liverpool's success and why their long-term future at the club could be key to the club sustaining their success and continuing to compete for trophies at the top level.
