Fabrizio Romano has offered the latest on Mo Salah's future and explained that he is not planning on leaving the club at the moment, in an exclusive interview with Anfield Watch.

The Reds are looking for their front three to get firing again as soon as possible with the goals drying up in the league of late.

Salah is still challenging for the Golden Boot despite the recent dry patch, however, and scored a brace in the FA Cup last weekend so it's clear he's still feeling relatively sharp on the whole.

His future has generated a fair bit of discussion in recent weeks, meanwhile, but Romano has confirmed that the Egyptian is currently happy on Merseyside, and discussions will take place in due course:

"When we talk about the negotiations of a contract with these sort of world-class players they decide their future.

"Mo Salah has won everything with Liverpool and is a star at Liverpool, he needs to make a decision to either become a legend of Liverpool or try a new experience.

"He was great in Italy, for example, so it's up to the player more than it's up to Liverpool.

"At the moment, Mo is totally happy with Liverpool, he's totally happy with Klopp and he's not planning to leave the club.

"But at the end of the season they will discuss what he wants to do in his future but it will be calm and relaxed because they know Mo is happy at Liverpool and they think with this board and manager and project it's impossible to not be happy at Liverpool at the moment."

Indeed, Romano continued by revealing that, at the moment, there is no firm interest in Salah or either Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino, meaning the front three could remain for another season at least:

"There is nothing in terms of a transfer for one of them to leave the club, at the moment I think they could stay for next season.

"At the moment there is nothing about [a move,] they are happy at Liverpool. If a bid comes in you never know but at the moment there is nothing so you can relax with these three amazing players!"

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Salah still has over two years left on his current deal so there's no pressing need to get a contract sorted for him, though it'll obviously be good if the Reds do manage to tie up longer-term agreements with the likes of the winger.

It's also promising to hear both Mane and Firmino look likely to stay put for now as the Reds bid to keep much of their title-winning side together for the season after this.

Salah, of course, will always attract interest but at the moment it seems as though there's nothing too concerning to think about here.
