Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano addresses talk of Thiago links with Liverpool exit
Thiago has become a vitally important player for Liverpool this season and it's great to see him performing alongside Fabinho so well in the middle of the park.
He's a player whose class and ability speaks for itself and, hopefully, there are many more years ahead where he is featuring in a Reds shirt.
There have been links, though, with Barcelona - given he is a former player there - and so we asked Fabrizio Romano what the situation exactly was with such chatter.

"I'm told this is fake news," Romano told Anfield Watch. "It's true that they appreciate the player but every club does with a player like Thiago.
"They know him so well as he was at Barcelona, but they never called his agent, they never called Liverpool, they never had any contact with people close to Thiago. So in the last month, nothing happened and so at the moment, there is absolutely nothing.
"It was not an easy season last year for Thiago because football was completely different. Playing for Liverpool and not having Anfield open with the fans is something that is not normal. And so it's absolutely normal for the player also to need some time to adapt.
"Now he's loving his Liverpool life. He's loving the atmosphere in the club, the atmosphere in the stadium, you can see him performing at a top level in important games.
"And this is why I don't see any move for Thiago for sure in January. The player is not looking to leave. So it's an absolutely quiet situation."
