Bolton Wanderers manager Ian Evatt has praised his new loanee signing and Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, as quoted by Anfield Watch Academy's Twitter account, Evatt said that Bolton identified Bradley in January and worked hard to sign him for the upcoming season.

“He's an exciting young player, I've said that. We're really pleased we've got him, a lot of hard work's been done to make sure we do get him," he said.

"The way Liverpool coach their players is the way that I want to coach our players and you can see with his understanding, the intensity of what he does, his work and the speed of what he does his work at is everything that's engrained in him in Liverpool.

“We identified him in January as I said before and he showed glimpses of what he's capable of. So when he comes here it just comes naturally to him so I'm delighted with him, but I'm delighted with them all.

“Because we have an identity and we understand what the requirements are, position-specific, we can go out there and find the best one suited to that role and Conor was certainly that."

Anfield Watch Verdict

With Bradley joining League One side Bolton Wanderers for the 2022-23 campaign, it will give him some much-needed game time.

The 18-year-old right-back is highly rated at the AXA Training Centre, but with Trent Alexander-Arnold and new boy Calvin Ramsay in his position, it would've been very hard for Bradley to get any game time for Jurgen Klopp's side next season.

At Bolton, he will be playing week in and week out and he'll be facing some tough opposition, something that will prepare him for life in the top leagues.

Hopefully Bolton will be pushing for promotion to the Championship next season and if Bradley can help them achieve that, then it would be considered a very successful loan spell.
