Liverpool continued their perfect start to the season with the perfect result at Old Trafford, beating Manchester United 3-0 in their backyard.

The win keeps Liverpool joint top of the Premier League table and caused the Red Devils plenty of headaches, even leading to their own fans turning on their players.

Luis Diaz scored twice in the first half to make some history of his own, becoming only the second ever Liverpool player to score twice in the first half of a Premier League game at Old Trafford.

The other player to do it? Liverpool's mastermind today, of course, Mohamed Salah.

The win was also historic for new Reds boss Arne Slot, who became the first-ever Liverpool manager to win their first trip to Old Trafford and the first Liverpool boss to win their first game at that ground since 1936.

Slot is also the first Liverpool manager to win their first encounter with Man Utd since Bob Paisley. He's putting himself among some legends already!

That invincible start to the season is even more impressive considering Liverpool were the only side in the Premier League to keep a clean sheet this weekend.

Clean sheets? They're guaranteed with Slotball! He's the first Premier League manager to win his first three games without conceding since another iconic figure, the late, great Sven Goran Eriksson.

The last time Liverpool started with three clean sheets? Jürgen Klopp guided the Reds to 37 points!

Salah makes more Liverpool history

And how about Salah? He became only the second player to score 10 or more goals at a single away ground for a Premier League club. Alan Shearer had 10 at Elland Road. And now our Egyptian King has 10 goals in nine appearances at Old Trafford.

A lot of Man Utd players haven't even scored 10 goals at Old Trafford!

Such as these players... Antony (7), Alejandro Garnacho (7), Rasmus Højlund (7), Edinson Cavani (7), Jadon Sancho (6), Memphis Depay (4) and Alexis Sánchez (3).

Speaking of scoring at Old Trafford, very few players score a double there in the first 45 minutes. Only three players have bagged braces in the first half of Man Utd's ground since the start of the 2021-22 Premier League season.

One of those was a Man Utd player (Cristiano Ronaldo). The other two? Salah and Diaz!

Maybe Erik ten Hag should have done his shopping in Merseyside instead of buying Ajax players.

Salah LOVES playing at Old Trafford. He is the only away player to have three+ goal contributions in two different games as an away player against Man Utd in the Premier League.

Salah now just needs to score and assist in three more Premier League games to become the player with the most goal+assist contributions in different games, having overtaken Thierry Henry to now have a goal and an assist in 33 different top-flight games in England. Wayne Rooney's record of 36 looks in jeopardy.

Hopefully Salah does it this season after dropping that 'last season' bombshell after full-time.

There's also a record Liverpool are closing in on. Next season the Reds can become Man Utd's least favourite opponents on home turf. Only Man City have more Premier League wins (9) at Old Trafford than Liverpool (8).
