Bayern Munich have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Liverpool's Sadio Mane this summer.

According to Sky Germany, as cited by Sport Witness, the German champions have put an offer of €30m plus additional payments of €5m-€10m 'on the table'.

However, it's still unknown if Liverpool will accept this bid.

Bayern Munich have offered the Liverpool forward a three-year deal and negotiations are now in the ‘decisive stage’ as the move is 'taking more and more concrete shape’.

However, the Sky report confirms that Mane will not be a direct replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who has publically expressed his interest in departing Germany this summer.

Anfield Watch Verdict

With Mane's contract expiring at the end of the 2022/23 season, if Liverpool were to sell him this summer then they'd at least get something for him.

The Reds signed the Senegalese forward for a reported fee of £37m in 2016 from Southampton and if they could get that fee for him six years later then that would be some good business.

A report from The Athletic's James Pearce earlier today, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account, claimed that Liverpool have set Mane's price tag at £42.5m amid interest from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

With that in mind, Bayern's current bid of €30m plus €5-€10m in add-ons is still a bit off the Reds' valuation.

It seems like the Liverpool hierachy have realised they're going to lose Sadio this summer. BILD, as cited by Anfield Watch, claim that Mane's agent, Bjorn Bezemer, will tell Liverpool that his player wishes to leave and that manager Jurgen Klopp has sanctioned a possible deal.

If Klopp has sanctioned the sale of Mane then I trust him to have someone good enough lined up to replace the Senegalese striker.

Mane has been a key part of Liverpool's success since he joined and we, as Liverpool fans, will be forever grateful for that. He has written his name in our history.
