Liverpool Transfer Targets in Action Tonight

Like we said, there are multiple stars in action tonight who just might be lining up in a red shirt next season. Here's the lowdown:

Jeremie Frimpong

One of the standout performers for Leverkusen this season has been Jeremie Frimpong. The right-back has been instrumental in his team's journey to the final, contributing significantly to both the side's efforts going forward and in defence.

With the Reds looking to bolster their defensive options under Arne Slot, Frimpong has emerged as a top target.

In a recent interview with Ziggo Sport, he expressed his admiration for the Reds, stating, "Liverpool? Great club, with history. That would be great. Who knows what the future will bring."

Teun Koopmeiners

Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners is another player on Liverpool's radar and constantly linked with an Anfield switch this summer.

The Dutch midfielder has been a pivotal figure for his team this season - including masterminding his team's quarter-final victory over the Reds.

Liverpool have reportedly initiated talks with Atalanta and Koopmeiners' representatives, aiming to secure his services for the upcoming season. Given his past connection with Arne Slot (they were together at AZ Alkmaar in days gone by), he would appear to be a very realistic target.

One other reason to be optimistic of a summer deal is that it appears major rivals Juventus would not be able to afford the €60million (£51.5m) fee required to prise him away from Bergamo.

Odilon Kossounou

Bayer Leverkusen defender Odilon Kossounou is another key player Liverpool are monitoring. The 22-year-old centre-back has been crucial in helping his team secure the Bundesliga title and reach the Europa League final.

Reports suggest Liverpool are set to open talks with Leverkusen, with a transfer fee of around £51 million rumoured.

Is the Europa League final on YouTube this year?

It's worth noting that previous years saw games broadcast on BT Sport's YouTube channel. However, this year, BT Sport’s merger with Eurosport under the TNT Sports brand has shifted all live coverage to Discovery+, so the European finals will not be on YouTube this year.
