DRAMATIC last-minute goal earns Liverpool loan star the BIGGEST moment of his career
Liverpool loan star Luca Stephenson just scored a last-minute goal for Dundee United. It's the biggest moment of his career to date.
Luca Stephenson was one of the stars as Dundee United won at home against Hibernian. United were 1-0 up here before finding themselves 2-1 down heading deep into stoppage time.
But with the ball bouncing around Hibs' box, Stephenson was there to prod home for 2-2. The wingback didn't score at all in 30 League Two games for Barrow last season but that's now two in his first five in the Scottish Premiership.
This, of course, was a massive goal and the biggest moment of Stephenson's young career. It would have been that way even with just a point - but United would somehow find an even later winner to get all three.
Meshack Ubochioma got the goal, with 98 minutes on the clock. Absolute bedlam followed, of course, with the win pushing Dundee United up to 4th.
Luca Stephenson continues to shine
Stephenson's senior career is a very young one - the 21-year-old only got his first taste of senior football last season. But things are going very well this season.
That's two big goals before November, an incredible return for a player who isn't a known goalscorer. Maybe it's an area of his game Stephenson can grow? A goalscoring wingback is a wonderfully unique - and useful - role, after all, as we saw with Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen last season.
And we've also seen how succeeding in Scotland can be really positive sign. Owen Beck was at the other Dundee club last season and thrived - now he's making a name for himself in the Championship and looks like a top up-and-coming left-back.
Stephenson will want to do similar, of course. And he's well on his way.
