Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has given his verdict on the Reds' performance against Fulham at Craven Cottage last Saturday.

Liverpool secured a 2-2 draw against the newly promoted Premier League side.

Henderson said that he was disappointed with how the team performed against Fulham.

“Yes, I think so. Disappointing, but probably the best thing is we didn’t lose the (Premier League) game,” he told LFC TV, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“We had a couple of chances at the end to win, but overall I think we can play a lot better than we were today. So yeah, overall, disappointed with the result and the performance.

“I felt as though we looked a little bit lethargic at times, we didn’t play the way we normally do, and you get punished in the Premier League. But there’s still a long way to go and we need to improve quickly.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Liverpool challenged for the Premier League title last season. They finished one point behind champions Manchester City.

Therefore, it was seriously disappointing to see Liverpool fall short against Fulham last week.

The reality is, the aforementioned result could come back to haunt the Reds at the end of the season. It could be the difference between winning or losing the title.

So, Liverpool can't afford to drop anymore points in games which they should be winning.

The Reds will face Crystal Palace at Anfield next Monday night. The Eagles lost 2-0 to Arsenal at Selhurst Park last Friday night.

Hopefully Liverpool can take advantage of a side that are perhaps feeling a bit fragile.
