Diogo Jota picks the best players at Liverpool: Here's every answer
Diogo Jota was asked for the best players at Liverpool in various categories this week. Here are all the answers he gave.
Diogo Jota has been doing a lot of media work around EAFC this week, and that naturally brings about plenty of talk around Liverpool. The forward is currently injured, of course, forcing him to miss the international break.
And yet, he's still finding a way to deliver the content. Jota talked with Bleacher Report on TikTok, where they asked him for the best players at Liverpool in various categories.
The quickest, the best finisher, the best at free-kicks, the best stamina, the best passer, the most physical, the best dribbler and the best weak foot all got a mention. Only one Liverpool player got Jota's vote in two different categories, though:
Himself.
Here are all the answers he gave.
Diogo Jota on the best players at Liverpool
Fastest Liverpool player?
"Darwin". Jota had a little think here before going for Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan hasn't actually registered the fastest speed at the club this season (that's Dominik Szoboszlai) but he has hit the historical highs. For instance, Nunez was the second-fastest Champions League player the season before Liverpool signed him.
Best finisher at Liverpool?
"Jota". Yes, Jota went for himself on this one and to be fair, he might be right. His finishing has been incredible in recent seasons and does seem to be getting better and better. Even if Mohamed Salah would have something to say about being the best.
Best at freekicks?
"Trent". No arguments here. Trent Alexander-Arnold is the best free-kick taker at Liverpool, though we'd like to see Dominik Szoboszlai have a few more efforts.
Best passer at Liverpool?
"Thiago". Again, no real arguments. Alexander-Arnold has a case but Thiago is one of the absolute best passers in world football. When he gets on the pitch.
Most physical Liverpool player?
"Van Dijk". Not even a question, really. Virgil van Dijk is as physical as it gets in football and is on another level to most.
Best stamina at Liverpool?
"Szoboszlai". This is a competitive category at Liverpool, with the likes of Andy Robertson and Salah boasting unreal stamina. Dominik Szoboszlai did win the lactate test in the summer, along with his Egyptian teammate.
Best dribbler at Liverpool?
"Lucho (Luis Diaz)". Diaz's dribbling, particularly in recent weeks, has been incredible - his run vs Manchester City where neither Rodri of Kyle Walker could stop him was a season highlight. Most would say he's the best at the club, so no shock here.
Best weak-foot at Liverpool?
"Jota". No question here - Diogo Jota is pretty much two-footed and his finishing with both feet is simply amazing. So even though he did pick himself again, he's probably been quite fair here.
