Diogo Jota has talked up the quality of new midfield recruit Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman became the fourth Liverpool signing of the summer when he arrived in a £34m deal from Bayern Munich on Deadline Day.

Though he signed before the Reds' 3-0 win over Aston Villa prior to the international break, Gravenberch was not registered in time to participate in the match and fans have been made to wait to see the 21-year-old in action.

Gravenberch opted not to go on international duty with the Netherlands Under-21s during the break, instead using the time to get acclimatised to his new club, and could make his debut in Saturday's trip to Wolves.

While fans are yet to see Liverpool's new number 38 in action, Jota has been impressed by what he's witnessed in training so far.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, the Portuguese forward said: "I think [he's settling in] great.

"Obviously he has two very close friends, the Dutch players, and they are three now, so they can help each other.

"Obviously I've not been in and just had a couple of sessions with him, but you can see already the quality he brings [and] has on his feet.

"I think he will be one more to help us going forward."

Gravenberch has joined a team in good form. The Reds are on the longest unbeaten run of any Premier League side (15 games, stretching back to the 2022/23 campaign) and have won their last three outings before the international break.

Discussing Liverpool's strong sstart to the new campaign, Jota said: "It was not perfect, obviously we didn't win all the games, but I think we must be happy because we changed a lot, we changed our approaches and we still got 10 out of 12 [points], and we had games with difficult circumstances with the red card.

"So I think it's a positive start and hopefully we can go from here."
