Liverpool travel to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend. Here's everything you need to know about the game.

Liverpool have hit a fine run of form at a great time, with the 2-0 win at Sheffield United the latest win. The Reds now sit second in the Premier League table, just two points behind Arsenal - a team coming to Anfield later this month.

But next is Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson's side are 14th going into this one and in a completely different spell to Liverpool. They haven't won any of their last four games, losing three of them.

Liverpool and Crystal Palace have met 63 times in their history together, with the Reds quite comfortably winning over half of those. 35 in total, with Palace winning on just 14 occasions.

28 of those have come in the Premier League and, as you'd expect, Liverpool's record is even more dominant. They've won 18 of the fixtures, losing to Palace merely five times since the rebrand in 1992.

The recent record is far more interesting. Both fixtures ended in draws last season, 1-1 at Anfield and 0-0 at Selhurst Park. Those draws came after an 11-game winning streak for Liverpool. The previous five games had ended 3-1, 3-0, 2-0, 7-0 and 4-0.

But Palace can actually feel some confidence for once, having matched the Reds on both occasions last time out.

Liverpool Team News

The dust is still settling on Liverpool's win over Sheffield United but there's already news on two players. Alexis Mac Allister went off early in that one with a bad cut on his knee - but he assured everyone on Instagram that he's okay.

Joel Matip, however, is not. Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Wednesday evening that the defender has ruptured his ACL. He will almost certainly miss the rest of the season and very well could have played his final game for the club.

Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota recently joined the injury list, too. Andy Robertson, Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic are long-term absentees and aren't expected back for this one.

Crystal Palace Team News

Palace are enduring a torrid time with injuries. Nathan Ferguson, Dean Henderson, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Rob Holding are all out long-term, while they ended November with the devastating news that Cheick Doucoure may not play again this season.

Eberechi Eze is now out, too, and will return later this month. Then Palace saw Tyrick Mitchell pick up an injury this week, though they're waiting to see the extent of it. Roy Hodgson could only say it was a 'muscle strain' on Wednesday.
