Crystal Palace set price tag for Cheick Doucoure
Crystal Palace will seek in excess of £35m to sell midfielder Cheick Doucoure this summer, amid reported interest from Liverpool.
The Malian is one of the latest names on the long-list to replace the imminently departing Fabinho. Other targets include Romeo Lavia (Southampton), Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich), Manu Kone (Borussia Monchengladbach) and, as reported on Anfield Watch this week, Leon Goretzka (Bayern Munich).
Doucoure is one of the less well-known names to be mentioned, but the 23-year-old — who joined Palace from Lens one summer ago — has impressed quietly in the Premier League, winning the Eagles' Player of the Year award for 2022/23.
Football Insider claim that Palace will want a profit on the player they paid Lens £21m for in 2022, and say a fee "well in excess of £35m" will be required by Liverpool.
The Athletic, meanwhile, add that Roy Hodgson's side, despite already signing Jefferson Lerma this summer, "will only entertain a significant sum" for Doucoure and may use Southampton's £50m valuation of Lavia as a benchmark.

Most credible reporting says that the Reds will conclude their outgoing business regarding Fabinho to Al-Ittihad, before making any bids for new players.
Fabinho, whose move now appears a matter of time, is expected to net Liverpool £40m, while Jordan Henderson's departure could bring in another £20m, if the Reds' asking price is met.
In addition to a new 'number 6', Liverpool are also seeking a new left-sided centre back, with Levi Colwill among the supposed targets.
