Conor Bradley's rapid ascent to Liverpool first-team regular has caught the eye of many - and pundit Tony Cascarino believes there's a lot more to come from the "incredible" Northern Irishman.

"He’s got everything: he’s got amazing energy, he’s got attacking play," said the former Millwall striker and lifelong Liverpool fan on talkSPORT.

At just 20 years of age, the right-back has swiftly transitioned from a promising prospect to a pivotal figure in Liverpool's ranks, boasting an impressive 10 appearances across various competitions.

“I've seen one or two absolute stars making debuts in my career. He gave me that belief straightaway. His tenacity, his ability on the ball, his defending, he’s got incredible energy,” the 61-year-old added.

Trent dilemma

Since entering the fold because of Trent Alexander-Arnold's recent injury problems, Bradley's impact has been undeniable, with one goal and three assists in just three Premier League starts.

These statistics not only attest to his burgeoning potential but also add a new dimension to the debate over the vice-captain's future position.

"Defensively, he is sounder than Trent," said Cascarino, who has "a sneaky feeling" that Alexander-Arnold could be heading to "one of the big two in Spain".

More likely, however, would be Alexander-Arnold moving more frequently into a midfield role thanks to Bradley's ability to provide defensive solidity and attacking output from a wide area.

An opportunity

For now, though, with Alexander-Arnold expected to miss around a month of action after a recurrence of his knee injury, there's an enormous opportunity for the Northern Irishman to nail down the position for himself.

Unless Jurgen Klopp opts for the more experienced Joe Gomez at right-back, it would seem that Bradley is almost certain to start the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.
