Liverpool fans all around the world are waiting for Trent Alexander-Arnold to sign a deal.

Ideally with Liverpool, of course. But at this stage if that deal is going to be with Real Madrid then Reds would quite like to just be put out of their misery.

Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes hasn’t particularly proven that he is adept at getting contracts figured out, but Alexander-Arnold’s agents will also certainly be tricky customers to negotiate with as the right-back could be seeking a monumental deal.

But the agency that represent Alexander-Arnold certainly aren’t giving up on Liverpool and it’s causing some fans to keep holding on to hope.

The agency, PLG, have announced that they have signed Liverpool youngsters Isaac Moran and AJ Yeguo for their representation in a breakthrough for the wonderkid duo, with this being the first significant deal of their young careers.

Moran is an exciting under-15s prospect who has already captained England at youth level. His midfield prowess has earned him comparisons to Steven Gerrard, naturally.

Yeguo, meanwhile, is a Polish youth international, demonstrating that both players are already performing at an exceptional level for their age.

Youth signings are a reminder of Alexander-Arnold's decision

This is a very exciting step in their careers, which will hopefully be long and storied.

But it is also an reminder of just how intricately linked to the club Trent Alexander-Arnold is. While we’re not saying that he had a part to play in these specific deals, it is clear that his agency has a good working relationship with the youth setup of the club because of their working relationship with the right-back.

It’s a reminder that he embodies this club and the spirit of it, a swell as of any young person who wants to don red some day.

He’s achieved what many wish more intensely than anything else for. He may just be about to with another Premier League and Champions League with his boyhood club too.

Giving that up for some vague notion of the ‘prestige’ of Real Madrid rings hollow. It did when it first suggested and it still does now.

Let’s just hope the right decision gets made.
