Confirmed: Martin Zubimendi changes mind AGAIN over Liverpool transfer
Liverpool have finally received their go-ahead for Martin Zubimendi. The Reds tried to sign the player in the summer.
Liverpool's summer was dominated by Martin Zubimendi. He was the player the Reds wanted - the one they felt was the missing piece in Arne Slot's new squad.

They pushed hard for a deal and agreed to meet his release clause at Real Sociedad. Zubimendi was ready to leave and Liverpool fans were celebrating a major signing.
And then he changed his mind.
It'll forever be one of Liverpool's most memorable transfers-that-didn't-happen. Everything was sorted and then the player said no right at the very end.
Instead, Liverpool signed no one. They went into the campaign with Ryan Gravenberch 'replacing' Zubimendi with a brand new role.
One in which he's thrived, too.
But it appears the door is still open for Zubimendi. Will Liverpool take their chance?
Martin Zubimendi wants his move
Journalist Guillem Balague claims Zubimendi is now, finally, on board with the idea of leaving Sociedad. It seems improbably that something happens in January but a summer move is very much on the cards.
“I’ve been told that everything was done with Liverpool - absolutely everything," he told Football Daily. "And then he personally decided not to move to England because at Real Sociedad, you have to be seen to be saying ‘no’ at least once.
“But three months into the season, he was like ‘I think I’m ready to go’.”
“I think he’s absolutely ready to move now," Balague went on to say.
The question now is whether Liverpool still see a spot for Zubimendi. Gravenberch has been a revelation and there's no great need to replace him - unless the Reds just feel the Spaniard is that much better in the role.
The important thing, though, is that the chance is there. Liverpool can finally land Zubimendi, if they're still willing.
