Here’s our Liverpool transfer news recap for Thursday, 27 June. The Reds are reportedly aware of Kingsley Coman’s availability.
There's more and more transfer news every day now as things start to heat up in the window. Of course, the Euros is also coming to a close - that means several players are finally willing to discuss moves.
Liverpool are certainly seeing their fair share of rumours. There are updates on Kingsley Coman, Nico Williams and Rayan Ait-Nouri as we approach the weekend.
Here's our Liverpool FC transfer news recap for Thursday.
Kingsley Coman available
Liverpool are among a number of clubs to have been informed of the potential availability of French winger Kingsley Coman this summer transfer window.
As Bayern Munich prepare for the arrival of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, the 28-year-old Frenchman, who has amassed 11 league titles during his trophy-laden career, now faces an uncertain future at the German club.
Coman, a pivotal figure in Bayern's Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain four years ago, saw his role diminish under Thomas Tuchel last season as he started only 15 Bundesliga matches, with injuries further limiting his appearances.
Now, Bayern's pursuit of Olise, plus efforts to tie Leroy Sane down to a new contact and the rise of Jamal Musiala, have pushed the 28-year-old Frenchman further down the pecking order.
No Williams move
Liverpool will not make a move for Spain's Nico Williams despite plenty of speculation. Instead, they’re planning to have someone else...
The Athletic claims Liverpool are not in the market for Nico Williams this summer. The Athletic Bilbao winger has brought about a lot of attention with his performances at Euro 2024.
Those performances reportedly had Liverpool eager to make an early move for Williams. The Reds have been linked for quite some time and it was believed they saw him as an ideal addition to their attack.
Reds front Ait-Nouri queue
Liverpool are in pole position to sign Wolves left back Rayan Ait-Nouri, who will LEAVE the club this summer.
That’s according to Abdel Hamed, a journalist who has previously interviewed the Algeria international.
He revealed that Chelsea and Manchester City are also ready to pay up for the 23-year-old, but it’s Liverpool who are currently favourites to land him.
A Calafiori boost?
Liverpool have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori with reports that the Italian side are looking at Sepp van den Berg as a possible replacement.
Calafiori, 22, has become one of the most coveted players of this transfer windowhaving starred for the Rossoblu during the Serie A season, leading to qualification to the Champions League.
The left-sider has also been in great form for Italy during the European Championship, making his competitive debut in the opening group stage game against Albania and delivering a great assist for Mattia Zaccagni to score the equaliser against Croatia which led to the Azzurri’s qualification to the knockout rounds.
Nat Phillips asking price
Liverpool are to demand just £8m for one of Jurgen Klopp’s favourites after a failure last season. Nat Phillips is now in the final year of his contract.
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool will try to secure £8m for Nat Phillips this summer. It's set to be yet another transfer window full of uncertainty for the centre-back.
This comes after a disappointing season last time out. Phillips initially went out on loan at Celtic but struggled badly for minutes, so much so that things were cut short by January.
