Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has recently taken to Twitter to give his opinion on Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.

A fan asked the 34-year-old to name the best false nine currently playing. Fabregas said that Firmino is the finest player in the aforementioned position.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Liverpool signed Firmino from Hoffenheim for a transfer fee of €41 million back in the summer of 2015.

Since then, the Brazil international has scored 93 goals and registered 70 assists in 301 appearances for the club's first-team.

Firmino has also won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Premier League title with Liverpool.

The aforementioned figures and achievements highlight that the 30-year-old has been a terrific false nine for the Reds over the years.

Firmino's current deal expires in the summer of 2023. Therefore, the forward is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Hopefully Firmino can win another trophy or two before his time at Anfield comes to an end.
