Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has provided an injury update on three players ahead of the Champions League final.

Liverpool will lock horns with the La Liga side at the Stade de France on Saturday.

Ancelotti confirmed that Marcelo could miss the final due to an injury. However, the Italian further added that Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale are in good shape ahead of the clash.

As quoted by Madrid’s club website, Ancelotti told the media the following: “The team is in good shape, we all started working together as of yesterday. We have a slight issue with Marcelo, but the full squad are in top physical condition and are very excited.

“(Hazard) is fine. He’s coming back from injury but he’s hungry and motivated. He’s training and he could be involved in the final, as could Bale. Everyone is excited at the prospect of playing in the final. To have everyone fit is a very positive sign."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Marcelo, Hazard and Bale have not been mainstays in Ancelotti's XI this season. Therefore, we don't expect any of the aforementioned names (providing they are 100 percent fit) to start against Liverpool on Saturday.

In saying that, Marcelo, Hazard and Bale are dangerous players to bring on from the bench. They all possess plenty of ability going forward.

So, they could do some damage if they get their chance against Liverpool. However, we are confident that if the Reds play at their best defensively, they will be able to nullify Real Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp's side only conceded 26 goals in 38 Premier League fixtures this season.

If the Reds are on defensively, we are confident that they will be able to keep the Real Madrid attackers quiet.
