Brentford team news: update on goalkeeper for Liverpool clash
Here's the latest Brentford team news as they come to visit Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday. The Bees are in good form.
Liverpool host Brentford on Sunday and it's a game that will ask questions of the Reds. Brentford are in very good form, having won their last three Premier League games, including wins against West Ham United and Chelsea.
The Reds, in contrast, drew at Luton Town last weekend and then lost at Toulouse in the Europa League. The Bees will fancy their chances of getting something, despite Liverpool's unblemished home record.
But Thomas Frank has had one possible doubt going into this. Goalkeeper Mark Flekken had to go off at half-time against West Ham last weekend, creating a potential problem at Anfield.
Flekken has trained all week, however, and will be fit to face Liverpool.
Per the BBC, both Josh Dasilva and Keane Lewis-Potter are 'nearing a comeback' and could potentially feature. Brentford will certainly be without Rico Henry, Mikkel Damsgaard, Aaron Hickey and Kevin Schade, though.
Ivan Toney, of course, remains suspended for the visitors.
Frank addressed the fixture during the week, talking up Liverpool's squad and the sheer strength going forward for Jurgen Klopp. The Brentford boss admits that getting a result on Merseyside will be a big ask.
