"Bit of luck" - Jurgen Klopp talks about Mohamed Salah's form

Jurgen Klopp has spoken about Mohamed Salah's recent goal scoring form.

Speaking in his pre-Manchester United press conference, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Klopp said that he was really happy with the Egyptian's performance against Manchester City.

"It's completely normal what Mo is going through - he played a really good football game against City. It is just a question of time when he will score again. He needs a bit of luck as well - the moment will definitely come.

"I was really happy with his performance the other day.

"We have had plenty of talks over the time we have had together, but there is no need for a talk at this specific moment. Just the normal stuff about what he has to go in the game and all of these sorts of things."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Mo Salah is currently going through the hardest time he has ever faced since playing for Liverpool. The Egyptian hasn't scored in any of his last six games for the Reds.

Right after returning from AFCON, Salah looked like a shadow of his former self. He went from being called the best player in the world to being one of the worst players for Liverpool, performance-wise anyway.

However, in the past few games, he has been showing signs of his previous ability, making great runs in behind and having the confidence to take players on.

Unfortunately, he just isn't finding the back of the net. At the moment, that's okay because Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota are firing on all cylinders but if they weren't then it could be detrimental to Liverpool's quadruple hopes.

There have been calls to completely drop the Egyptian and give him some rest but it seems like Klopp is going to stick by him and try to play him into form. Hopefully it works.
