Bayern Munich risk losing Jamal Musiala with Liverpool lurking

Bayern Munich have their work cut out for them if they are to keep Jamal Musiala at the club, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City monitoring the situation.

According to Sport1 chief reporter Kerry Hau, Musiala is growing frustrated with his game time at Bayern, which does not correspond with the terms of his contract.

As a result, Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Musiala's position, and could be ready to make a move if negotiations over a renewal hit a standstill.

“It is true that he currently has a contract that does not correspond to his performance,” Hau said.

“He earns eight to nine million from bonuses. That’s not a little for a 20-year-old, but he is still one of the lower earners in the FC Bayern squad.

“It’s not the money that matters to Musiala. He also wants to become a world footballer and then the question arises as to whether he can achieve the title at or with FC Bayern.

“FC Bayern has to work hard to retain the player in the long term.”

While the youngster is not yet pushing for a move away from the Allianz Arena, Football Insider claim he could seek to move in January if he continues to be given reduced role under Thomas Tuchel.
