Bayern Munich facing being forced to sell Liverpool-linked midfielder to offset Harry Kane deal
Having finally signed Harry Kane from Spurs after a protracted saga, Bayern Munich may now be forced to sell players to balance the books.
According to the Daily Mail, the German champions could now offload several players, including Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch, in order to even out their £100-million outlay for the England captain.
Having lost out on the signings of both Roméo Lavia and Moisés Caicedo to Premier League rivals Chelsea, the Kane transfer could prove to be the catalyst for the Reds to return for the 21-year-old Dutch international, a player considered one of the most promising rising stars in Europe.
But despite this potential, Gravenberch, who joined Bayern from Ajax last year on a five-year contract, only made three Bundesliga starts last season, regularly finding himself behind Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka in the pecking order.
Now, with the signing of Konrad Laimer from Leipzig, Gravenberch's playing time could be limited further. And Bayern's loss could be Liverpool's gain.
So far this summer, Liverpool have brought in two creative players in the shape of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. However, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson moving to the Saudi Pro League, they are in desperate need of a defensive midfielder.
Wataru Endo looks set to join from Stuttgart, but a second player is also needed, with Gravenberch, alongside Crystal Palace's Cheick Doucouré, Fulham's Joao Palhinha and Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat all under consideration.
