Aurelien Tchouameni has responded to transfer claims amid interest from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

In a recent interview with CNN, as quoted by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, the midfielder addressed rumours that he could be leaving AS Monaco this summer.

"I like both: I can watch Spanish games and English games," he said. "It's different to play in Spain and it's different to play in England, but at the end, for me, it's just a matter of adaptation.

"It's funny. With my friends Benoit Badiashile and Djibril Sidibe, every morning they tell me: 'Ah, you go to this club.' And the next day, it's another club. But it's good to be in this situation. It means I'm in a good position.

"But in the end, it's just social media - the most important thing is to be good in training and in the next game. We'll see.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

Wherever Tchouameni goes this summer, he will end up at a top European club playing in the Champions League.

There has been a lot of news surrounding the Frenchman in recent days.

Four days ago, a report from L'Équipe, as cited by Anfield Watch, claimed that Tchouameni 'dreams' about Liverpool’s project and that he has already held discussions with the Reds' representatives.

However, according to RMCSport, as cited by The Madrid Zone's Twitter account, the 22-year-old's preference is to join Real Madrid. The report also states that he has agreed a five-year deal with the Spanish side.

To make the situation more complicated, GoalEspana, as cited by TMZ's Twitter account, claim that PSG are now trying to 'hijack' the Tchouameni deal from Real Madrid.

With PSG now joining the race for the Frenchman, it is making the operation to sign him a lot more expensive with Monaco now wanting €80 million for the midfielder.

Due to that price tag, it's pretty much guaranteed that Liverpool will be out of the race. Maybe if he was valued at €50-60 million, we'd be interested but going off past transfers, it just seems too expensive for the Reds.

Thankfully, we'll have a lot more options thanks to our amazing scouting team.
