Arsenal vs Liverpool - Predictions

Liverpool face an immense test of their Premier League title credentials on Sunday afternoon, travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face third-placed Arsenal.

After a 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea on Wednesday night and seven wins from the last eight, the Reds will make the trip to north London full of confidence.

Liverpool have already won at the Emirates this season, beating the Gunners 2-0 in the FA Cup third round in early January. In the league, things finished 1-1 at Anfield two days before Christmas.

A victory against Arsenal would certainly send a warning sign to the rest of the division - chiefly Manchester City - while defeat would bring Mikel Arteta's side back into the title picture.

Ewan Ross-Murray: No team is in better form than Liverpool right now.

The Reds are absolutely flying and performances are matching results - unlike at some points earlier this season. The Reds have still lost just one Premier League match and the return of previously injured personnel has handed Jurgen Klopp a huge boost.

However, Arsenal will be an enormous challenge.

Even during Liverpool's victory in the FA Cup earlier this season, Arsenal were by far the better side in the first half and unfortunate not to go into the break ahead. They pose some of the most devastating attackers in the division and the Emirates will be bouncing on Sunday.

I would almost certainly take a draw before kick-off and I think that's exactly what Liverpool will get.

Andy Headspeath: Since Klopp's announcement, Liverpool have won two, scored nine and look like a team that know they have a camera crew following them around hoping for something special.

This game feels like one which could play a big role in that upcoming docu-series, and could end up being one of the biggest tests in the second half of the season.

Despite a recent mini-blip, Arsenal are genuine title challengers and probably the hardest away game in the Premier League that isn't Manchester City.

Still, the Reds' record at the Emirates in recent years is surprisingly good, winning four out of the last five in all competitions.

This game should be tougher than the FA Cup victory last month though. A draw would not be a disaster.

Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool

Alex Caple: It's certainly easy to compare this one to the FA Cup clash last month and Liverpool will be carrying a lot of confidence to the Emirates on the back of that.

But Arsenal are in better form than they were at the start of January. They're also fighting for their lives in the title race here - lose and the eight-point gap pretty much rules them out of it. It's hard to see them accepting anything short of a win. But can they afford to play open here?

At the same time, Liverpool are looking great right now and go into the game knowing that a draw is probably fine. Not expecting a particularly open game as a result and the Reds should have enough to secure a positive result - even if it is just a point.
