Arne Slot opens Liverpool first-team door for BRILLIANT wonderkid
Liverpool's rebuild over the last few years has been nothing short of magnificent.
From swapping out the old for the young, the team's age profile has been radically shifted and the players are excelling in the environment.

For the young players already at the club, however, it has become a bit more difficult to break into the team.
Harvey Elliott, for example, knows only too well how tough it can be, having been sidelined for a few months already this season with an injury, and subsequently struggling to get minutes in a team that is firing on all cylinders.
However, Arne Slot has now outlined a pathway for players, making it clear that he is aware of those who are missing out and that he has a plan for them going forward.
Slot has too many players on his hands
In midfield, Elliott's preferred role in the team, he is actively competing with Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo for minutes in the team.
Alongside this, the club's academy has been producing a steady flow of new young players who are just itching to break through into the first team.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, ahead of Liverpool hosting Ipswich at Anfield on Saturday, Slot clarified the situation he's facing with regard to selecting players.
He said: "In his situation, he's [Elliott] in competition with five very good midfielders - and there are a few youngsters coming through that are very talented as well, but they are not close to playing time yet."
So while 21-year-old Elliott may find it difficult to break into the team right now, he has also been given the guarantee that he will be fielded in the team at some point and for the time being, he will just have to take the opportunities he gets given.
However, while the 'few youngsters coming through' are to be given their moment in the spotlight in good time, one in particular has shone above the rest over the last few years.
Trey Nyoni is just 17 years old, and having impressed under both Jurgen Klopp and now Arne Slot, he has been given opportunities to show what he's capable of in the domestic cup competitions.
In each of his outings, he has been the talk of the fans and while he may lack the maturity to play for Liverpool's first-team basis on a more regular basis, it is not out of the question that he could follow in the footsteps of Elliott.
While Elliott is currently being sidelined, he has already made 132 appearances for the club at such a young age and he is already being recognised as an asset that Liverpool can use in their current setup.
For Nyoni, the wait to break through might take a little longer, given the array of talent that stands in his way, but if he continues to deliver when he is called upon, and given we know that Slot is very aware of his impressive displays, then it might not be that far down the line before we see him make his Premier League debut.
Liverpool are currently in a high-stakes title race this season so the chance that we will see Nyoni thrown in the deep end is unlikely, barring a monumental injury crisis in midfield, but it is nothing but promising signs to see Slot recognising the depth of talent he has at his disposal.
