The Reds have been consistently linked with Kerkez all season long. Anfield Watch actually broke the news that there had been initial talks for the player, who could well be Liverpool's new left-back.

Liverpool are in the market for a left-back. That's been reported just about everywhere now as they hunt for a long-term successor to Andy Robertson.

Robertson will enter the final year of his contract this summer and while a new one isn't out of the question, the Reds need to think about replacing him. Kostas Tsimikas simply won't be that player.

Liverpool do have plenty of options when it comes to finding their new left-back. Kerkez, though, appears to be right at the top of the list.

Liverpool moving forward on Milos Kerkez

"Milos Kerkez is on the radar of Europe's top clubs," writes Lugt. "His good season in Bournemouth makes the top teams of the Premier and La Liga interested.

"Liverpool leads the race."

It's easy to see why Kerkez would be at the top of the shortlist. He ticks nearly every box Liverpool are after, with the left-back proving it in the Premier League this season.

Kerkez is young, dynamic, and available. It all combines into a player that at the very least, Liverpool will believe they can develop into a world-class option.

Now, there are alternatives but it appears Liverpool will prioritise a move for Kerkez first. If they can't get him, then they'll move on to those alternatives.

Fabrizio Romano claims Arne Slot has given the go-ahead on Kerkez, too. Again, he claims the shortlist has more names and Liverpool aren't putting all their eggs in one basket.

But it increasingly looks as though they can sign Kerkez. Watch this space, because Liverpool may have found their first signing of the summer.
