£85m Antonio Silva CONTACT, Ramsdale DEAL proposed and Klopp sings anthem - Liverpool FC News Recap
Here’s our Liverpool news recap for Sunday 2nd June with updates on Aaron Ramsdale, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Silva.
Ramsdale tipped for Liverpool switch
It what would be one of the more surprising moves of the summer transfer window, were it to happen, Aaron Ramsdale has been tipped to join Liverpool from Arsenal in a bid for regular game time next season.
The England international was the back-up option to David Raya for the majority of the 2023/24 campaign and the writing is on the wall with regard to his future at the Emirates Stadium considering the Spaniard is expected to join permanently in addition to the Gunners being linked with a move for Feyenoord's Justin Bijlow.
With rumours of a switch to Newcastle United going cold for Ramsdale, he has been tipped by former England international Paul Robinson to sign for Liverpool as a potential replacement for Caoimhin Kelleher.
"I don’t think Aaron Ramsdale will move abroad, I think there’s a move for him in the Premier League," he told Football Insider. "If Kelleher leaves Liverpool, there’s an opportunity for him to go and be a number one with Alisson."

Liverpool make contact for Antonio Silva
Correio da Manha reports that Liverpool have made initial contact with Benfica for central defender Antonio Silva.
However, the report states the Reds are not alone in wanting to sign the young centre-back as they face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United as well as Arsenal with suggestions that the latter are currently lead the way and want to tie up a deal as soon as possible.
The major sticking point for all three clubs is that Silva has an €100m (£85m) release clause in his contract and Benfica feel they could receive a figure close to that - if not the full fee.

Klopp sings Liverpool anthem
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was in attendance at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night for the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
In one of the German's first public sightings since his Anfield departure he couldn't help but sing along to the classic 'You'll Never Walk Alone' anthem that was adopted by Liverpool back in the early 1960s with clubs around Europe such as Celtic and Dortmund making it their own too.
Blasted out by the Wembley speakers as part of the pre-match routines, with Dortmund fans singing along lustily the TNT Sports cameras panned to the posh seats where they found Klopp doing the same.
Trent's message to Bellingham
Speaking of the Champions League final, Real Madrid emerged victorious thanks to second half goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior. They are now 15-time kings of Europe with their sixth triumph in the past decade.
Two of which have come at the expense of Liverpool. The 2018 final in the Ukraine and four years later in Paris. Trent Alexander-Arnold featured in both games but despite suffering heartbreak on each occasion, he was happy to see Los Blancos win again.
Perhaps only for his close friend Jude Bellingham. The England international, who claimed the assist for Vinicius Junior's goal, took to Instagram following the game and in the comments section of his post, Alexander-Arnold reacted with a congratulatory message.
"1st of… Congratulations, brother," he wrote.

Liverpool dealt blow in Luis Guilherme race
Liverpool could lose out to West Ham United in the race to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Luis Guilherme.
The Reds are said to be one of six Premier League teams that have been credited with scouting the teenager over the past year with fresh reports claiming they were at the front of the queue for the forward.
However, it would appear that another Premier League club have taken their first steps in an attempt to lure the forward to England with The Guardian claiming West Ham are in talks with Palmeiras over a £25m deal.
Whilst it would be a blow to miss out on the signing of a potential future world class star, Guilherme joining the Hammers may turn out to be fantastic news for the Reds in the long-term as it could have implications on Mohammed Kudus' future.
