Andy Robertson outlines Liverpool approach to take on Arsenal

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has said that the Reds will look to attack Arsenal on Thursday night in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg.

The Reds were below par last Thursday as they took the Gunners on at Anfield in the first leg, with them only managing to draw 0-0 against ten men.

Indeed, it was a performance of frustration for Liverpool but that is how it goes and now they must focus on winning in north London - even if extra time and penalties are needed.

For Robertson, then, the plan is for the Reds to attack the game and ensure they give Arsenal more problems this week than they did last.

He said via the Reds' official website:

Anfield Watch Verdict

Robertson is a leader out on the field and will be key in setting the tempo and approach on Thursday night.

He is a proper front-foot footballer and when the chance is there for him to surge forward down that left side he is bound to take it.

Hopefully, he'll inspire those around him to get at Arsenal and achieve a spot in the final against Chelsea.
