Andy Robertson nearing double century for Liverpool

Andy Robertson is what you'd call a modern icon for Liverpool and that is only going to be cemented further, potentially as early as tonight, with him on the verge of making his 200th appearance for the club in all competitions.

The Scottish full-back is about as typical as it gets for a Liverpool signing under the current coaching and recruitment staff.

Joining from a Hull City side that had just been relegated for a cut-price fee, he has become one of the best players in his position in the world, won the Champions League and Premier League and, now, is closing in on a double century:

Anfield Watch Verdict

What a top footballer and true professional as well.

Robertson works his socks off for the side and possesses some superb quality with that left foot.

Perhaps at times this season he has been a little off of the boil but every player has dips and, in fairness, he still very much remains about as good as it gets as a left-back in the modern game.
