Andy Robertson delighted to 'click back into gear' against Burnley

Andy Robertson has expressed his delight at returning to the starting lineup after close to four months out with a shoulder injury.
Robertson made his first start for Liverpool since October 2023 in Saturday's 3-1 win over Burnley, which saw goals from Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez secure the points for the Reds.
Robertson, who was taken out of action after sustaining a dislocated shoulder on international duty with Scotland, has now set his sights on keeping his starting berth for the remainder of the season.
“I loved it today,” he told the club's official website. “The gaffer spoke to me yesterday and just said, ‘We don’t have many options!’ He said try to forget that I’ve been out for four months, which is easy for him to say, I suppose!
“But that was my mentality when I woke up before it, to try and forget about it and hope it clicks back into gear. I thought it did, to be fair, I thought I had rhythm, I was up and down as I normally would be, I tried to help Lucho [Diaz] on the overlap and get involved in the game.
“Happy to be back, happy to get 94, 95 minutes, delighted to be back starting, and hopefully that’s me until the end of the season.
“Four months out is a long time but the lads have done unbelievably well. Now I need to step up to their level and today was a good start.”
Despite going into half-time level after a sluggish first half, the Reds kicked into gear after the break - something that coincided with the injection of Harvey Elliott into the game.
Praising the man many have hailed as this season's 'super sub', Robertson paid tribute to Elliott, who bagged a pair of assists for Diaz and Nunez.
“The last couple of weeks since I’ve come back from injury I’ve been coming off the bench and it’s not easy, but Harv always seems to make an impact,” added Robertson.
“We have a lot of good subs who come and make impacts, but I thought Harvey was different class in the second half today. He took the game by the scruff of the neck, started creating things, started us ticking over.
"He was excellent, the wee man, so fair play to him. His attitude is always spot on, he always gives his all for this team, and that’s what we need.
“It’s a full squad effort, especially today with illness [and] injuries hitting the squad. Everyone had to step up.”
Speaking on Robertson's return, Jurgen Klopp was also jubilant that his star left-back was back in the fold.
On the Scot's injury, the Reds manager said: "Since we worked together he was never that long out, so for him it was very strange. Super-important [that he's back], he played a top game.
"We had to force him a little bit to just ignore the fact he can’t have rhythm and bring himself in kind of a rhythm, and that’s what he did."
