An €80 million price tag has been placed on the head of a reported Liverpool target
Fiorentina have named their asking price for striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Goal, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account.
The report states that the Serie A club want €80 million for the 21-year-old.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Vlahovic. The Serbia international's contract expires in the summer of 2023, which means that he is not available on a free transfer for quite some time.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Vlahovic is a talented footballer. The striker has scored 39 goals in 96 appearances for Fiorentina's first-team.
Vlahovic is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.26 in the early stages of the Serie A season.
The aforementioned figures highlight that the Serbia international is a capable senior footballer.
As we have pointed out, Vlahovic is only 21 years of age. Therefore, the forward could potentially represent one club for a number of years.
We would love to see Liverpool make a move for the talented youngster. But, we doubt the club has €80 million to spend on one player.
It was reported back in April that the pandemic had impacted Liverpool financially.
