All praise directed at Mohamed Salah as another milestone smashed

Players and managers alike have hailed Mohamed Salah after his brace propelled Liverpool to a 3-0 win over Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

Salah opened the scoring for the Reds, delightfully tucking the ball past Mark Flekken to give Jurgen Klopp's side a crucial first-half lead.

He gave Liverpool daylight after the break, nodding home a simple header to double their lead and bring his tally of goals in English football to an almighty 200.

Smashing yet another milestone at Anfield, Klopp has been sure to heap praise on his Egyptian winger.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, he said: "Goal No.200 in England, right? Exceptional. Just an exceptional player.

"He played a super game today. We all know how difficult it is against these two tall centre-backs, two players around him and all these kind of things, but how often he kept the ball for us and we could play from there - that was super important - and then scoring two goals.

"We had so many good moments in the first half where we scored but it was offside and things like that.

"Then in that moment, the composure for the first goal is insane. There is no doubt when the ball is in that area [that] in the end you see it on the scoresheet.

"A pretty special player."

Als0 on the scoresheet was Diogo Jota, who similarly had a fantastic game against the Bees.

Constantly pressing the Brentford defence, Jota was a bundle of energy - and bagged a deserved goal 16 minutes from time to put the game out of sight, firing into the far corner.

The Portuguese forward has joined his manager in hailing his record-breaking teammate - putting it into simple terms just why Salah is such an asset.

"He’s a goal threat, a proper goal threat," Jota told the club's official website.

"We know when he has the ball he scores, assists. He’s really important for us."
