Alexis Mac Allister has missed out on Sunday's FA Cup tie against Norwich City as a precautionary measure.

Mac Allister has been in top form since his return from injury, producing arguably his best performance in a Reds shirt against Bournemouth last weekend.

However, Jurgen Klopp will have to cope without his Argentinian maestro for their FA Cup fourth round matchup against the Canaries - with Anfield Watch understanding that the decision has been made to omit him from the squad so not to aggravate a minor injury problem.

Regarding the starting XI, Alisson is preferred in goal to Caoimhin Kelleher, who was in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday as Liverpool progressed to the final with an aggregate win over Fulham.

Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah provide a youthful look to the defence as they line up alongside Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez in the back four, while a full debut is awarded for young midfielder James McConnell - who comes in for Mac Allister.

Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch join McConnell to make up the midfield three.

Up front, Liverpool aren't afraid of utilising their firepower as Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo form dangerous attacking trio.

Dominik Szoboszlai, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold all make the bench, having recently overcome injury setbacks.
