Alexis Mac Allister suffers SETBACK in legal case with ex Camila Mayan
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has suffered a setback in a high-profile legal battle involving ex-partner Camila Mayan.
Argentinean courts have rejected the playmaker’s request to move the case to the United Kingdom, ruling that proceedings should continue in Argentina.

Mac Allister and his legal team had submitted a “lack of jurisdiction” plea to the courts and wanted the case heard in the UK. However, this request was dismissed with the courts siding with Mayan who wanted the case heard in Argentina.
This is being celebrated by her legal team and supporters as a major victory according to reports in Argentina.
Cami Mayan seeking $6m
Mayan, now a successful streaming influencer, is seeking $6 million in compensation for her relationship with Mac Allister, along with personal belongings she claims she wasn’t able to recover after their breakup in late 2022.

They lived together in the UK during his days as a Brighton player but she returned to Argentina after their split. She instigated legal action against Mac Allister shortly after with Mac Allister’s family speaking out about the case.
Mac Allister announces partner's pregnancy
Mac Allister moved to Liverpool in summer 2023 and has since established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. The 26-year-old was an EFL Cup winner during his first season at the club following a bargain £35m transfer from Brighton.
This term he looks to be on track to win his first Premier League title with the Reds, maintaining his status as an integral first-team player under Arne Slot. He’s played 44 times and scored six goals for the Reds during this campaign.
The World Cup winner, meanwhile, has since announced that he and current partner Ailen Cova are expecting their first child together.

He celebrated the impending arrival during a recent Argentina international against Brazil, placing the ball inside his shirt having scored for the Albiceleste in a landmark 4-1 win.
