Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said that he was pleased he could feature against Crystal Palace on Sunday and get himself on the scoresheet for the second match running.

The attacker scored in the win against Brentford but rolled his ankle and had to come off, with natural concerns springing up over when he'd next be available.

He shook things off quickly to feature against Palace, though, and got himself on the scoresheet again with him making it 2-0 on the afternoon.

Indeed, he has reflected on that speaking to the club's official media channels:

Anfield Watch Verdict

Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn't had much luck with injuries during his time at Liverpool but he has been more available this season and that is a good sign.

It's tough for him to break into the side permanently and stay there but he is doing a good job with the opportunity he has right now.

If he keeps scoring, he can't be dropped, it's as simple as that.
