Jurgen Klopp has reacted to drawing Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final after beating Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool beat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-final tonight but before the game kicked-off, the Reds were drawn against Premier League title rivals Manchester City.

Speaking after the 1-0 victory against Forest, Klopp reacted to the tough draw in the upcoming semi-final, as cited by Anfield Watch.

"Before the game, [we knew] obviously City would be the opponents if you want to go to the final anyway," said Klopp. "The further you go in whichever competition, it is likely you will face City at one point.

“And this year that you will face us at one point, I don't think we are the dream draw for anybody. But it will be a tough one, we have to make sure we make it tough for City as well. There are a lot of games to play before then.

“We are in between – we start with Watford, Benfica then City, City, United, Everton. From a Liverpool perspective, these are all massive games, so we will try to play them once at a time and not all together. It will not be possible.”

Anfield Watch Verdict

We nearly didn't get through the quarter-final against Forest to face Manchester City at Wembley. Luckily, Diogo Jota stepped up when we needed a goal.

If Liverpool play like we played against Forest today then Pep Guardiola's side are going to have a field day in the capital.

Fortunately, the game isn't until the middle of April so hopefully, Trent Alexander-Arnold will be fully fit, Mohamed Salah should be back to his best and the Liverpool midfield firing on all cylinders, unlike today.
