It has been reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

With that being the case, the Bundesliga club has placed a £101 million price tag on the Englishman in a bid to fend off the Reds' interest, according to BILD, as cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account.

Bellingham's current contract expires in the summer of 2025.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Bellingham is a superb talent. The 18-year-old midfielder has scored seven goals and registered 11 assists in 61 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.37 in the Bundesliga this season.

However, we doubt that Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool's owners, would fork out £101 million for any footballer.

The pandemic has reportedly impacted Liverpool financially. Also, the club's owners have never spent more than £76.2 million on a transfer (Virgil van Dijk, January 2018).

But, we would love to see the club make a move for Bellingham. The midfielder is a very talented youngster.
