Here are five talking points after Liverpool beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the Premier League. Darwin Nunez is magic.

Slowly getting back

Right from the start, a bit of positivity - Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Darwin Nunez all made the bench. The trio were absent against Southampton, while the latter two also missed the Carabao Cup final.

All came on here, though, and should be ready to face Manchester City next weekend.

It's exactly what fans needed after the blow ahead of the game that Alisson Becker is out for the next few weeks. Liverpool can't avoid new injuries at the moment but at least the old ones are easing up.

Darwin's big moment

The biggest moment of Darwin Nunez's Liverpool career? It could be if the Reds go on to clinch this title.

The Uruguayan made his big return here from the bench and immediately lifted the side. The energy he brings, the chaos; defences struggle to contain him and that was apparent as soon as he was on the pitch.

Forest thought they had contained the Liverpool man, of course, but you can never count him out. An enormous goal on so many levels.

Kelleher delivers again

There's quite a bit of pressure on Caoimhin Kelleher now - he's effectively Liverpool's no.1 goalkeeper with Alisson out semi-long-term. It's now a period that could define his career as he'll be between the sticks for some massive fixtures.

If he continues in this form, it'll be a string of games that skyrocket his reputation. A world-class first-half save (that, admittedly, might have been offside), fantastic sweeping throughout, and the kind of composure on the ball you associate with Alisson.

Just brilliant from start to finish and the last few games have been that way. That's now six in a row for Kelleher, bringing six wins, three goals conceded and three back-to-back clean sheets.

Clark and Danns are options

Bobby Clark got his first Premier League start here, while Jayden Danns came off the bench for the fourth consecutive game. Both come away from it looking like genuine options in the league.

It's hard to say how often we'll see them once the squad is back together but for now, Jurgen Klopp knows he can call on them. Clark was bright in the first half and unlucky not to trouble the goalkeeper on a couple of occasions. It won't be long before the confidence really kicks in and he moves up a level.

Danns was bright, too. One brilliant turn played in Kostas Tsimikas and nearly brought a goal, but he's really just like a mini-Nunez - he comes on and just starts fighting defenders.

Expect to see more of both in midweek.

Momentum and Man City

Yes, there's a Europa League Last 16 clash in midweek and Liverpool will be focused on that - but it can't be understated how important it was to win here ahead of Manchester City next weekend. The Reds know they'll be top of the table when hosting that one.
