Here’s all your latest Liverpool FC news. The Reds beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park - but at a cost.

Liverpool beat Palace

Liverpool went to Crystal Palace and came away with a hard-fought victory. Diogo Jota's first-half goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win but it came at a cost.

The Reds lost both Alexis Mac Allister and Alisson Becker to muscle injuries. We're now waiting to see what comes of that - but it's a big blow on a day when Liverpool furthered their excellent record this season.

Top of the league heading into the international break, a run of tough fixtures is on the way. Liverpool, though, couldn't really have positioned themselves better for them.

Arne Slot on Alisson

Arne Slot shared a quick post-match update on Alisson while talking to Discovery Sports. The Liverpool head coach discussed the tough upcoming fixture list before commenting on his goalkeeper.

"Unfortunately, Ali won't be with us for those fixtures, I assume, after how he walked off the pitch," said Slot.

Not a sure-fire answer but it appears Liverpool are of the impression that Alisson will be missing post-international break.

And the boss on Mac Allister

Arne Slot has confirmed fears over Alexis Mac Allister and a potential injury. The Liverpool boss has one major question, however.

Arne Slot has confirmed that Alexis Mac Allister is injured and that's why he was removed at half-time during Liverpool's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace. The Argentine appeared to be in discomfort before the break when he was swapped out for Dominik Szoboszlai.

Slot has moved to confirm fears over an injury.

"He went off because of an injury, but how bad it is is difficult for me to judge in this moment," he said, per Liverpoolfc.com.

"He could have continued playing, like you saw, because it didn't happen one second before half-time, but he felt it a bit too much and he said he didn't think it was good to keep on playing because you never know if you will make it worse."

But Slot also had a major question about the injury. What would this mean going into the international break?

Slot makes history

Liverpool continued their excellent start to the season with a win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The Reds emerged from the game as 1-0 victors despite the home side pushing them hard in the second half.

Injuries to Alexis Mac Allister and Alisson Becker were the main talking points after the match but Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo deserve credit for combining for the only goal on their returns to the starting XI.

The win saw the Reds extend their lead at the top of the table, although potentially only temporarily, and also marked nine wins in 10 for Arne Slot as the Liverpool head coach.

The win over Crystal Palace marks only the third time that a Liverpool side has won nine of their opening 10 matches in a season, with the previous campaign this was achieved in being the 1990-91 season.

Kaide Gordon bags first league goal

Liverpool loan star Kaide Gordon has scored his first-ever league goal and it’s one Arne Slot will absolutely love.

Kaide Gordon had a moment to remember on Saturday as he scored his first league goal. Gordon started on the bench for Norwich City but came on as a second-half substitute at Carrow Road.

Norwich ran out 4-0 winners over Hull City - an emphatic win and Gordon played his part. The winger grabbed the third goal on 65 minutes and we've got to believe it's one that Arne Slot will love.

It comes entirely from pressing, after all. Hull stop an attack in their own box, winning it back around the penalty spot. The defender wants a moment to pick an out-ball - but Gordon reacts instantly.

He closes the defender hard, robs him of the ball 12 yards from goal and slides it past another defender into the bottom corner. A brilliant goal and exactly the kind that Liverpool want from their players.
